Busy is the New Stupid

by Rick McPartlin

Today, we continue our video series on the basic context of Revenue Science™.

There was a time when being efficient was enough.  Then efficient and effective was enough.

Today it is about doing the right things that add value to the buyer while being efficient and effective.

The world and our customers are challenged every day with producing more value.  Bringing buyers the same thing today as yesterday quickly becomes a liability and being busy, efficient, and effective is the justification we use for not innovating for the buyer’s benefit.

Thought leadership requires reflection and busy is never justification for a lack of reflection.  Reflection and innovation focused  on how to increase value and improve delivery (which creates more value) to buyers is the seller’s job.

Replace making sure your team is busy with making sure they are sharing reflection on increased value to buyers with you and each other.
