Number Seven out of 15.

Anyone who has purchase a lottery ticket secretly harbors a dream of being wealthy. But only one in millions hits the jackpot with a lucky ticket….for the rest of us, we have to figure out how to get rich the old fashioned way.

So how easy is to become wealthy in Canada?

A global study of high and middle income nations prepared by the Economist Group and some international banks tries to answer that question. Of the top 15 in the world, Canada stands in seventh place – right in the middle. We have nearly 400,000 of what they call High Net Worth Individuals so that gives you an idea of how hard it is to get the over bar….it’s just over one percent of us. The US is first and India is second.

They look at the conditions in this country that help or hinder the accumulation of wealth. Where we do well is in political stability but we come up short in the innovation field where so much wealth is being created these days.
