At the ripe old age of 28, Breanne Harrison-Pollock is rapidly filling up her trophy shelf.
The Saskatoon-product with family roots in Weyburn was named to the 10th edition of the prestigious Forbes magazine 30-Under-30, a collection of high achievers who are changing the worlds they operate in.
Harrison-Pollock and her 28-year-old partner met in fashion design school and established a New York firm that sold a line of women’s clothing that won the approval of the likes of Beyonce. But it was a chance opportunity that prompted the creation of her latest venture – Ateyo – which creates specialty apparel for a very distinct demographic. They have established a line specifically for those who play electronic games. The corporate vision is to deliver to gaming what Nike gave to running.
Their success has resulted in partnerships with major platforms including YouTube Gaming.
A proponent of unstructured play for children as a tool to spark imagination and creativity, she showed early signs of being destined for the fashion industry, spending her formative years sleeping in her closet to be close to her wardrobe.
