Colin Rooke of Butler Byers Insurance in Saskatoon has become something of an expert in this field and he warns one new thing to watch for is a seemingly harmless website that invites you to sign up for something free. The criminals make this offer so they can get your password and user ID. They’re betting that you use the same one every time you sign up. Then they use that information to log onto dozens of websites in hopes they’ll hit pay dirt by finding one of your real accounts.
