Meeting as a family offers opportunity to find support to achieve personal goals

Have you ever wondered how successful business families find a way to manage to mix the money side of life with the life side of life and to do it generation after generation?

There is a tool that many successful business owners employ to find that golden path. It’s called the family meeting.

Just like in a workplace, where the people involved in the day-to-day operations interact constantly, family members are always in each others’ faces.

But just like a strategic planning session for business, once in a while, family members can benefit from an off-site discussion about big picture issues.

One agenda item for families is goal setting. The idea is for each member of the clan to get some air time to outline their personal goals.

Now, this is not about mom and dad passing judgement about those objectives. They belong to the individual. But it is a whole lot easier for everyone in the group to help siblings achieve life objectives if they know what those goals are.
