A changing of the guard at the Saskatchewan Research Network (SRNET) sees Chad Coller assume the position of president and CEO.
Coller, a fixture on the SRNET board of directors since 2013, has spent the past 12 years at the University of Saskatchewan where he served as Director, Academic and Research Technologies and Relationship management.
“I’m thrilled to be leading SRNET and look forward to building on SRNET’s many successes over the past few years,” Coller said. “I have been on the board of SRNET for the past number of years and know how vital we can be to research, education, and innovation organizations in Saskatchewan.”
Coller takes over from outgoing SRNET president and CEO, Neil McClughan who announced his intended retirement in late 2018.
Coller said he looks forward to continuing to pursue SRNET’s goals, including adding new members to the organization and promoting the benefits of the brand to both the public and its members. He hopes to lead collaborative efforts between SRNET, government and SRNET’s research, education and innovation partners.
Coller has a Master of Science in Information Security from the University of London, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan.
SRNET is a member-driven, not-for-profit organization that provides advanced information technology and collaborative leadership to support education, research and innovation in Saskatchewan. More information about SRNET can be found at www.srnet.ca.
