The Saskatoon Economic Recovery Tracker with Alex Fallon – SREDA

For businesses looking to build a strategic plan for the 2021 calendar year, finding information to inform the process is no small task. First, the volume of local data is limited and scattered around a variety of sources so not easily collected. Second, the bulk of the stats we see are national so helpful but not specific. Third is COVID. It has disrupted everything or almost everything and allowing for that is not a simple exercise.

Enter the Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority and its newly-minted SERT – the Saskatoon Economic Recovery Tracker. The agency has done all the work. It has sorted through the sources and created a basket of metrics that a melded into a single indicator of how much the economy has recovered since the pandemic was declared. To explain it, President and CEO Alex Fallon joins Paul Martin’s Ten Minute Business Insight on MyNewsroom.ca powered by Martin Charlton Communications.
